The Helm
A peer community and coaching platform for first-time female CEOs and MDs in digital agencies and software businesses.
The Helm brings together women navigating the challenges of leading for the first time—some as founders, others stepping into established businesses. Often, you are not building culture from the ground up, but evolving what already exists or merging inherited teams.
I created The Helm in response to what I’ve been hearing from women in my network—many have excellent mentors, boards and investors, but are looking for a space to speak candidly with other women in similar roles, share challenges, learn from one another, and build enduring relationships within the industry.
Having spent 25 years in these senior leadership roles at a variety of digital agencies, SaaS businesses and technology consulting firms, I understand the mix of exhilaration and pressure that comes with leading for the first time. The Helm exists to support women navigating that transition, whether launching a company or stepping into an existing one.
How we help
Peer Community (no fee)
Our peer group meets virtually once a month, bringing together first-time female leaders, primarily founders, CEOs and MDs from the UK, US, and Europe.
We are often joined by guest speakers - accomplished female leaders who bring their real world experience and insights to our group.
I facilitate each 60-minute session in which we talk about topics such as:
Shaping leadership style
Navigating founder transitions
Managing boards and investor dynamics
Building and evolving culture
Leading through uncertainty
Coaching Package (fee-based)
For those looking for personalised support, I offer a 1:1 coaching package that includes:
Two individual coaching sessions per month
Asynchronous coaching access (via voice or written notes between sessions)
Tailored resources and exercises to support reflection, decision-making and leadership growth
Recommended as a three-month engagement, this package is designed to provide both momentum and opportunity for meaningful development.
It’s designed for first-time CEOs and senior women leaders navigating change, challenge, or opportunity.
